An industry that has grown very quickly over the last couple of years is the mobile phone game industry. This is a result of more cell phones being purchased across the globe and also the spike in cell phone users playing games on their phones. Since I was interested in finding free games for my mobile phone on the Internet I set out to do just that. I wanted to find a website that offered good quality games that were free of charge.
If you have done a search online for free mobile phone games you most likely recall the large number or sites that came up in your results. This is true there are tons of sites out there that claim to offer free games, not all of them are legit. I have done this very same thing when looking for these types of sites and I have found one that I think is very good. The website I found is very easy to use in my opinion and has an excellent selection of games to choose from.
This website's name is MobileRated and I feel it is one of the better sites available that offers these types of services. I have been to other sites that offer the same services but they weren't as useful as MobileRated is. It is a clean site that does not have a lot of advertisements to confuse you.
Looking For Games That Are Compatible With Your Phone
One of the first things that caught my eye when I first arrived at this website was the wording explaining that not all games are made equal. Not all games will work every cell phone ever made. Some games are only compatible with certain phones. The easiest way to find games that are compatible with your phone is to search using your phone model
After you have clicked on your phones make and model a list will come up that will show all the games that are available on the website for your phone. When I did this I put in several different phone models and noticed that some phones do

not have any games that are compatible with them. So please keep in mind this will not work for everyone, that is why I suggest this as the first thing you do.
Once you have arrived at the screen that lists all available games for your phone feel free to browse the games and find one you are interested in. You will notice that next to many of the games you will find some wording that says things like ads, beta, and trial. This is providing very valuable information to you as this tells you what will happen after you download the game.
Some games are free because they contain advertisement's, other games are free because they are trial versions or beta version games. This will be very useful to you as you browse the games and will help you to know what type of game you are downloading. It is not necessarily a bad thing to download one of these particular games, remember they are free of charge and the creators must be compensated in some way.
Picking A Game And How To Put It On Your Phone
When you find a game that you want to download you will want to click on the name of the game and it will take you to that particular games page. This page has a bunch of very useful information on it that will help you to learn more about the game and find out whether it is worth downloading.
Some of the game pages offer a small paragraph of information about the programmer that created the game. You will find at the very bottom of each page two separate paragraphs, these will be very important to read when you pick the game you want to download. The first paragraph explains how to download the game directly from you mobile phone while the second paragraph explains how to download the game to your computer and then transfer the game to your phone via Bluetooth or a data cable.
If you choose the first download option it will give you the website address that you go to on your mobile phone browser to get the game. This is an easy process but please check with your service provider prior to doing this to verify you will not have any additional data transfer charges for doing so. The second option explains and walks you through the process of transferring the game to your phone. I would strongly suggest reading through the walkthrough if you choose option two as it will help you with the process.
This is an excellent website and I use it regularly when looking for free games for my mobile phone.
