Brazilian Diet Pills - The Controversy
By Danna Schneider, Mon Dec 26th

b>Brazilian Fad - Buyer Beware

Anyone familiar with the latest and methods hasprobably heard of the latest concern (or frenzy) on theweightloss market: Brazilian Diet Pills.

Brazilian Diet Pills, specifically certain brands, seem to havebeen wreaking havoc on people's health around the world. And yetpeople are still searching for them on the internet in hopes ofshedding weight unusually fast.

Let's start from the beginning. A Brazilian company beganmarketing a particular "all natural" diet pill which hadrecommended dosages of a specific color coded pill to be takenin the morning, and a specific color coded pill to be taken atnight. The dosages are varied according to where you are in yourweight loss goals, as well as what your individual preferencesor health issue are.

These are still marketed as a "Magic Pill". We allknow there is no such thing. We want to believe that, which iswhy this product has seen some interest, but it quite simply isnot true - and not without its price.

My prediction is, the FDA will get wind of this fairly soon, andput a ban or strict limitations on this product, just as theydid with Ephedra. The signs are all around. Women are reportingon forums that people they know have taken the Brazilian DietPill and while they have dropped significant amounts of weightin a short period, many people have suffered fainting spells, heart palpitations and even cardiac arrests, presumably linkedto the ingestion of this weightloss product.

An analysis on the pills has shown trace amounts of illegalamphetamines, as well as prescription antidepressants and even atranquilizer in the night time pills, to counteract the effectsof the speed you've taken during the day in the daytime formula,so that you can actually sleep.

The really sad part of this is, the product is marketed as"Blended with Natural Herbs from the Rainforest",

when in factchemical analysis has shown man made and extremely dangerous andvolatile substances. Some people do know about the substances inthis product, and due to the societal pressure to be thin, havestill chosen to purchase and use it, in hopes of quicklyslimming down. A word of caution: While this product may in facthelp you to quickly shed unwanted excess pounds, it also has areal potential to become addictive, since it contains addictivecontrolled substances (amphetamines - or speed) which the humanbody becomes accustomed to, and starts to need more and more ofjust to sustain the weight loss and appetite loss.

My advice is, if you really want to lose weight, and you want tobe safe - stay away from these Brazilian Diet products. We arejust now beginning to see the harmful and even life threateningeffects, and I believe we may even see government agencyintervention soon if the reports of extreme side effects keepcoming in.

If you have taken this product and have experienced negativeeffects, you may want to contact the FDA or even the BetterBusiness Bureau. On the contrary, if you have taken one of theseproducts and had exceptional results without a wink of sideeffects, by all means get that information out to the rightpeople as well.

A good alternative to this type of fad product is to just gofor what you know is safe. There are some EXCELLENT and verysafe, non-addictive diet aids (for example safe herbalalternatives to Fen Phen) on the market today that really are100% natural and really do reduce your appetite and help youlose the weight you need to quickly and effectively. And, youdon't put it right back on when you stop the product.

That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it!
