Ephedra products are still available. Run, don't walk to your nearest computer and buy some fast because you may not have the chance to do so for very long.

Do not go to a store hoping to find ephedra either because the majority of stores are not going to carry ephedra products. Any type of chain store will never carry these types of diet products again. If you are lucky you might find a local independent herbal store or gym owner that thinks it is okay to sell weight loss aids with ephedra.

So why are stores not selling ephedra?

Despite the fact that these types of meant brisk sales and huge profits, it is no longer worth the risk of a lawsuit. Also, insurance companies will not authorize the big chain stores to sell these risky products for the same reason of the threat of being sued by someone that encounters a problem.

That leaves the fact that just a few companies are taking the chance to sell them on the internet. But even this may be short lived.

The FDA is back in court to get ephedra products banned again. This time permanently. Many experts fully expect that by the end of the summer, no later than the end of fall, 2006, for a decision to be made by a judge to ban ephedra once again.

If you are hunting on the internet to buy ephedra products, you need to spend a little extra time doing your homework. Do not excitedly purchase from the first vendor you see show up in your search.

Ephedra products are scarcer than they used to be. The weight loss market used to be saturated with these diet pills. Everywhere you looked someone had a special formula along with the big name players like Xenadrine, Hydroxycut, Stacker and Metabolife.

These

diet pills with ephedra now cost twice as much as they used to. Before the ephedra ban you could buy a one-month supply for around $20. Now the companies are charging around $40-$50 for a bottle.

If you are trying to find the old brand names that were so incredibly popular you will not find them selling any that contain ephedra. They have moved on and you cannot get Xenadrine RF-1, or Hydroxycut with ephedra, Stacker with ephedra and Metabolife have gone out of business due to the high number of lawsuits that forced the company into bankruptcy.

The popularity of these products is still amazing. Millions of people a year continue to scour the internet specifically looking for certain products that have not been available for years.

This alone is proof these ephedra products were highly effective for many people.
