Ipod Nano - Breaking The Conventions Of Ipod Music

Invented by Apple Inc. on September 7, 2005, Nano has certainly created a revolution in the field of music. Nano is a mid-range portable media player that comes with attractive features and characteristics that are really stunning and mind-blowing.

The features of the are a statement of high-end technology. In such a tiny gadget you can store an enormous amount of music and pictures. uses the Mac OS X or the Windows 2000/XP operating system. The Nano uses flash memory, but with a miniaturized version of the display screen and "click wheel" found on the Classic. The screen of the Nano also shares the same resolution as the Classic. The batteries as well as other internal parts are also in reduced size compared to the Mini.

The Nano V3 works with iTunes on the Mac OS X or on Microsoft Windows. It connects to your computer via the same proprietary dock connector as the third-generation Ipod, the fourth-generation Ipod, and the Mini, using USB 2.0 connectivity. The Nano V3 has some attractive features including a stop watch and a multiple time zone clock function. There also are combination lock features that make use of the click wheel to lock the Ipod, and serves to secure the user's calendar and contact information. Picking up where the Shuffle leaves off, the Nano has a hard drive of 2 GB, 4GB, or 8GB flash drives which hold up to 500 to 2,000 songs in a 128-Kbps AAC format, up to 25,000 Nano-viewable photographs, and

stores data via the USB flash drive. The Apple Nano uses general-purpose integrated circuits (IC) rather than smaller, low cost custom developed chips, in order to reduce time-to-market. This design increases the number of electronic components and increases the cost.
